Swimming

We went to Angevine Pool in Bethel yesterday with Irma, Rae & Gab.  A multitude of tadpoles that would light on your hands, legs & arms and tickle as they tried to hang on to your skin!  But only if you didn't move for a few minutes.

Very hot and dry, so had to water gardens.  I noticed that, while standing with the hose, my right upper thigh kept going numb on the surface.  Very strange and unnerving.  Asked Dr. Chuck about it this morning and he said it wasn't a good sign.  Says it may be a bulging disc pinching a nerve.  We talked about what kind of activities I could do and he thought the pool would continue to be a good way for me to stay in shape until my back/butt stopped hurting so much.  Said I should only walk as far a I feel comfortable and to not push it.  He did get a bead on me and acknowledged that it is hard for a driven/competitive person to slow down.  "Listen to your body!"

Gab, Rae, and Gab's friend Sarah went swimming with me at Garnet Pool.  I hadn't been there in awhile and had forgotten what a beautiful, and fun, spot it is!  Will definitely go there again.
